This Seamaster 600 captures the optimism of the Space Age, Jet Age, and a period when precision instruments represented a path toward the future. Its design feels purposeful rather than ornamental: a crisp matte-black dial, slender red crosshair, red Omega emblem, and sharply printed minute track give the watch the character of a compact technical instrument.
The black date wheel is especially effective. White numerals appear through a white-outlined aperture, allowing the display to blend naturally into the dial rather than interrupt it. Together with the restrained 32.6mm case and simple baton hands, it creates a remarkably coherent design.
Omega produced this technical dial in both light and dark variants. Finding the black version with its original dial, hands, movement, and distinctive details preserved in this condition is uncommon.
Restoration Notes
A complete service of the original Omega Cal. 613 manual-wind movement was completed in October 2026. The movement was disassembled, cleaned, inspected, lubricated, reassembled, regulated, and functionally tested.
The original tritium in the hands was stabilized from behind with clear binder to preserve the existing material. A new acrylic crystal, new OEM Omega crown, and new gaskets were installed.
The watch was not pressure-tested. Water resistance has not been established or guaranteed, and the watch should be kept away from water.

The original matte-black technical dial is exceptionally crisp, retaining its red crosshair, red Omega emblem, white printing, and black date wheel. Exceptional period-correct OEM sharkskin strap, tapering from 18mm at the lugs to 14mm at the buckle in classic mid-century proportions.
