A classic 1960s Omega Seamaster with beautifully restrained proportions, an elegant 14K gold-filled case, and one of Omega's iconic 550 series automatic movements. Produced for the U.S. market, this example uses a domestically manufactured Ross case paired with a Swiss Omega movement—a distinctive piece of Omega's American-market history. This particular watch is in exceptional condition. It was worn sparingly and had no service marks when I opened it, indicating it is a true barn find.
I personally completed a full service of the Omega Cal. 550 movement using industry-standard methods, Moebius lubricants, and proper watchmaking tools. The movement was disassembled, cleaned, inspected, lubricated, reassembled, regulated, and functionally tested. The original Omega-signed acrylic crystal was retained, and a new OEM Omega crown with fresh gaskets was installed.
| Case | The LL6287-1 uses a 14K gold-filled case manufactured in the United States by Ross for Omega's American market. Unlike comparable Swiss-cased Seamasters, these watches were cased domestically as part of Omega's U.S. distribution strategy. The case uses a front-loading construction, giving it a particularly clean and streamlined profile. Case is fully unpolished and crisp. 14K Gold Filled. |
